There's a new site out there that allows you to support a good case each time you do a web search. It's called Ethicle.org.
Every time you do a search 1 cent is given to the charity you select.
Check it out and use it HERE.
That's my 2 cents for the day.

("Ez by Mr. Epelbaum", 3/08, MTL. Photo by Mr. Epelbaum at Regent Photo on Parc)
I'm back from the hack. Yesterday's Ez Sez posting was a slight scare (luckily it took place on April 1st) but I'm back and ready to bring you more.
Stay tuned for more Ez Sezzishness this Spring.
Ez
P.S. Spamping will NOT be something we need to worry about. We got them hackers on the run...

I invented a new expression yesterday: Be AZAP! (EY-zap!)
Huh?!
When flummoxed... be AZAP.
When frustrated... be AZAP.
When furious... be AZAP!
AZAP: As Zen As Possible!
Fresh new things for you here always at Ez Sez.

Reason Foundation has just published a report entitled "Illegally Green: Environmental Costs of Hemp Prohibition."
If you're curious as to the potential environmental benefits of the hemp plant which can be used to make everything from food to fuel, paper to plastic, cloth to car panels, you'll want to check out this report.
The short version can be found here.
The full version can be found here.
About Reason.org: “Thank goodness for Reason… one sane voice fighting tons of nonsense.” John Stossel, ABC's 20/20
Stay hempy, friends.
Ez
UPDATE: The NY Times eco-blog Dot Earth just wrote the Reason report up. It's not just Ez Sez going on about this hemp stuff, y'know!

The films and fun start this Saturday through next Thursday (Feb 16-21) at the Segal Centre's CinemaSpace, the brand new theatre I've been helping to build over the past few months. It's got surround sound, an HD projector and yes... you guessed it... Canada's first hemp-covered eco-plush cinema seats!
Come on down each night at 7pm to watch great shorts and features, in English and French, being presented as part of CinemaSpace's inaugural collaboration with the Rendez-vous du Cinéma Québécois film fest.
Hope to see you there!
The full schedule, CinemaSpace address and all the film synopses can be found HERE.
Bon cinéma!

A strange thing just happened here at Ez Sez...
My server sends me lists of places where Ez Sezzers log into the site from. (Don't worry, they don't tell me who's reading Ez Sez, just where folks are visiting from.)
I'm always excited to read these far-flung names of towns and cities around the world.
So, I just checked and noticed something kind of wild... there were two consecutive readers from the same place... well not the same place, but places with the same name... well not the same name, but almost the same name...
Now, I've been through both Montpel(l)iers in my day but I never knew Ez Sez had fans there.
This posting's for you all in VT and FR.
(And for everyone else reading.)
Here's to more blogoincidences.

Watch a boisterous clip of Josh Ritter and band on Letterman earlier this week. This was Josh's second Letterman appearance.
Dave cracks a good one at the end of the clip too...

I was just passed along a fascinating photo essay with pix of what various different families around the world eat each week. The photos are by Peter Menzel and they are hosted for you to see at the homelessnation.org web site.
More about Menzel's book "Hungry Planet" here.
HomelessNation is a Montreal based cross-Canada organization that helps empower homeless Canadians through internet access, filmmaking, blogs and other media-based techniques.

Dear Ez Sez Reader,
What a day!
Sony/BMG recording artist Josh Ritter, about whom you may have read in previous posts at Ez Sez, has written you a very special Ez Sez welcome letter.
I hope you'll take a quick moment to read Josh's words about Montreal bagels, Leonard Cohen and you guessed it... EzSez.com.
You can read Josh's letter by clicking HERE. You'll also get a link at that page to enjoy to his acclaimed new CD for free. I've heard it many, many times and it's incredible.
Enjoy Josh's Official Ez Sez welcome letter,
Ez
